KASHVI'S POV

"Tell me," he growled. His fingers curved around my nape, bringing our faces closer while his devilish breath caged me.

"Aaaa!" A scream escaped my lips as he grabbed my throat this time and pushed my head against the wall. His fingers dug into my skin. I almost choked.

Every twist of his fingers made sure I was getting close to passing out.

"Whom do you hate, sweetheart?" His voice dropped like poison.

"H..." I tried to speak.

"Say it," he commanded.

"Hri..." I began again, but his grip was rough enough to make words die in my throat.

I tried to push him away, to create any distance and to get free of his grip. All in vain.

Still, I stepped on his foot. He gasped and his hold loosened, just for a second. It was all I needed. I scratched his bare chest, pushing him apart. My nails scraped the flesh of the stranger in front of me. They were painted in blood at the tip.

He screamed in pain, falling to his knees.

Horror filled my head as my eyes went toward my hand. But I had no time to think.

I picked the wooden stool. Without any second thought, my hands raised, aiming at him.

The stool broke into pieces, hitting the target while he lay fainted... maybe dead... I wasn't sure yet.
